I just recently found these and almost immediately became a distributor. I have saved so much money at fast food restaurants by using these coupons. The company has been around for 20 years but just went national this past summer. A single book is $30 with over $5000 worth of coupons, expiration date of 11/2004. You can become a distributor yourself by purchasing 5 books for $99, free USPS shipping and you receive a free web site to promote your business. It's an awesome, low cost way to start a home business. These coupon books sell themselves and it's only just begun. Please check out my website and take the link to the Smart Shoppers website if you would like to order a book or become a distributor. Thanks for looking. Vicki C

What is the current status with these coupon books? Are they still being sold? Are there issues with them being accepted in other parts of the country? I would like some more information since the web site for smart shopper and all the listed links do not work.

As of now they have suspended sales of the Smart Shoppers coupon books while they reorganize. I don't know all the details on what is going on, I've only heard bits and pieces. I believe that the coupons are legit. I've used many of them here in Colorado and I just got back from a trip to Missouri and I used them for every meal and didn't have any problems. I did hear that one of the problems is with the IHOP coupons. There is a trademark issue going on. I was able to use my IHOP coupon just the other day in Ft Collins but I have heard from others that could not use theirs. I also heard that Chick-Fil-A and Perkins will not accept the coupons until their trademark issues are resolved. Hopefully they will get back on track because they are a great deal and I had great luck in selling them and in using them. Sad

I know the coupons still work and nobody will deny them, if so well it will be the first I hear of it happening. I know "Perkins" is having a issue with these coupons and they have asked them to be removed. There was one other place too but I cant remember the name, but its a big time place like perkins. I however use my perkins coupons twice a month and still no problems so I think it will take some time to get them to not eccept them. The guy I got mine from had only 3 left and is no longer selling them on ebay because they informed him and everyone else not to. I am luck to even have got a book. I really was up for selling these and a week later nobody could sell them, or there wasnt any left Sad

I had 4 books left and I just sold the last one this week. I've got several partial books left so I'll still be using the coupons for quite awhile. I haven't had anybody refuse my coupons either. It's great to be able to go out for half price. I really hope the books come back, I get about 3-4 emails a week from people who have found my website and are asking if they can buy the books. I finally found a product that will sell itself and for the time being, it's gone.

I am also have a hard time finding out what is happening with the coupon books. I personally love them and use them all the time. I have also sold quite a few, but they are new in my area.

If anyone has any info, please share. I also have some books available. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Thanks

Hello, to the last user who posted an item, yes, I would be interested in buying more books. I recently bought the 5 for 99, but gave most of them away to family, and I returned to the site to buy more & it was shut down. If you have any more to sell, please email me at donnauetz@wowway.com. I am most interested in purchasing the 5 pack, if available, but if you don't have that many, I'd be willing to buy singles. Let me know what works for you! Thanks!!!

I've tried twice to use Super Saver coupons at different Schlotzsky's and they won't take them here in Dallas. They save they are for Corporate stores and they are franchised. They've never seen them and won't accept them. I was able to use a Wendy's once, but now I'm afraid to try anymore.

Anybody else have trouble with Schlotzsky's?

I have a small supply left of partially used books. They are 80-85% full and I have them for 1/2 price at $15 with free shipping. My coupons have an expiration of 11/04. You only need to use a couple though to pay for the book, the rest is gravy. You can email me at pixithere@yahoo.com if your interested. If you want I can send you a scan of the index showing what coupons are left.

Contact the seller, when you pay by paypal it will give you the positive experiences and the length of service that the client has been with paypal. You may also want to know if the seller has any history that you can review at auctions. There always is a risk but these two will help to reduce that risk. Someone with a perfect rating on auctions values customer service !!!!

I found this letter at http://www.restaurantcouponbook.com/

THE SMART SHOPPERS CLUB OF AMERICA - It's Closed.

Hello, I am a distributor(formerly) of The Smart Shoppers Club of America. The Club has closed down, who knows if it ever will be back. I DO NOT own the company, nor am I the creator of their national coupon books. I have received comments/suggestions/compliments/concerns to me and I'm not the proper contact that they should go to. We NO longer sell any books. If any national coupon book ever comes out again or is out their please email me and let me know as I would be very interested to see what it has to offer.

Once again, the proper contact for the club is below.. Any questions/comments/concerns can be directed to them and best wishes to everyone. This was a great idea, however, I guess they didn't take the proper legal steps with certain places in the book and this caused problems on the national level. If you own one of their books you can still use your coupons at many places in them.. they are accepting them, however, certain chains aren't. I don't intend to list the handful that don't want to be apart, however, for most of the last few books I had I took their coupons out of the books accordingly as soon as I was contacted from them. You can reach the club at:

I am now completely sold out of books. This coupon forum really works well. I kept 3-4 books and have many different locations in the books that I may never use. If you want to purchase coupons for a specific restaurant in the book send me an email (leresource@aol.com) and if I have them I will make you an offer.

I have a prospective buyer for my last few partial books, if that sale goes through I will also be sold out. I just want to state for the record that I have removed all of the Chick-Fil-A coupons from the partial books that I had for sale.

I just loaded some of the coupons from my Smart Shopper book on Ebay (only the ones that I don't have use for because that particular restaurant is not close by). Within a few hours of loading these this morning, I received the following e-mail regarding the auction for the Orange Julius coupons:

[b]We are concerned that you may be attempting to sell coupons issued by the Smart Shoppers Club. If so, these coupons were produced and sold without our involvement or permission, and they are not legitimate coupons. We took legal action, and the Smart Shoppers Club has discontinued the sale of the coupon books. We have advised our franchise system about this problem so that store operators can properly handle the situation if a customer tries to use one of these coupons that is not legitimate.

I'll keep you informed if I get any more emails from individual companies on not being allowed to sell the coupons for their particular restaurants.

I just received another email, this time from Johnny Rockets. Their email was as follows:

We would like to let you know that we removed your listing:

4304818824 14 B1G1 Free Johnny Rockets coupons Buy One Get One

because a Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program participant notified us, under penalty of perjury, that your listing offers a counterfeit or unauthorized item that violates a trademark.

We have credited any associated fees to your account. We have also notified the bidders that the listing was removed, and that they are not obligated to complete the transaction.

If you relist this or any other similar items on eBay, your account likely will be suspended.

If you believe your listing was ended in error, or have questions regarding the removal of this listing, please contact the VeRO Program participant directly at:

The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc.

The coupons have been getting pulled off of ebay since around February. That's when I quit listing them due to all the ads getting pulled. A lot of people who didn't stop listing them were suspended. I kept a book for myself and still use the coupons at least once or twice a week. I haven't had anyone deny their use. I just wish the company would have had their ducks in a row before they started the business. I didn't have any problem selling them or signing people up to sell them in the 2 months that I was a distributor. I keep my eyes open for another opportunity like that.

pixithere,

Still no change after your last email (about 4 months ago), what a bummer. The updates sound as if there could be lawsuits on the horizon anything new by you? Rolling Eyes

The last I heard about the company was about 4 months ago, it said they were reorganizing the company and bringing out a better program for the distributers and they hoped to have it out around the first of May. I just wish they would have kept those of us that showed a true interest in the company updated. I haven't heard anything since then. If anyone reading this knows anything at all about what is going on please post it. Thanks
