I'm hoping this is the correct forum as I need some ideas...

I have these bugs in my apartment that I cant get rid of. They look like long legged beetles with terrible antenea. Ive looked up roaches and they dont look like those.

But the real question is how to get rid of them without spending a ton of money. And Id love the least chemical possible for obvious reasons.

Any tips? Ideas? Help?

I'm getting desperate and out of ideas.

I have no clue who else to ask and Bug stuff can be so dang pricey. Especially when you don't know if it will even work. So if reading this, I really need some help folks,

Thankfully they arent the little guys with the pinchers! I am freaked by them.

As for cheap, I found freee! I told maintenance in my building that I had bugs coming from behind my fridge and they said they'd send someone in to take care of them. I saw a few baby ones recently and smished them (also free. lol) and otherwise, I don't have to pay, they will.

Thanks for replying. I do appreciate it and would love to hear what spray you use on the pincher guys. My parents home gets those every single summer. Its aweful.

i just use the all purpose bug one! i found that if i spray around the outside of my house for bugs during the spring, i dont get bugs inside my house...again i just use the bug b gon hose connector one. i have to spray for bugs outside otherwise they eat my plants!

i didnt even think to ask if you lived in an apartment. your landlord/maintenance should take care of any bug problems. just make sure you ask if you need to be careful with pets or kids around them -if you have either.

I know this post is older but in case someone else has this problem I have a solution! I am very anti-pesticide until flying roaches landed in our mouthes as we slept and getting bit! That was IT. I sweep and clean daily and never left dishes or crumbs out to its got nothing to do with cleaniliness they just find their ways in the house.I went to Lowes and talked with them about it. I have kids,we all have asthma,we have little dogs, parrots, cats and a saltwater fish tank among other fish tanks. In other words I was NOT an easy sell I have to much to protect at risk. They told me about Hot Shot. It wasn't to expensive maybe $6 for a container. It has a very low smell and only lasts about 5 minutes the smell. You just leave the room after spraying. It comes in like a Windex bottle and dries in minutes. To be safe we all left the rooms sprayed and opened windows. Also I did not spray near parrots or fish tanks. We sprayed behind dressers and sinks, in the garage in corners and outside around the base of the house. Places kids or pets are not likely to go. It worked. No one got sick at all, it didn't smell and bugs have been gone for 2 mths now. This worked on huge ugly flying roaches, black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, flies and fire ants for me. Oh..they told us at Lowes to go around and check under sinks in cabinets and around baseboards...this is where they were getting in. Get a caulking gun and seal those holes so they can't come in anymore Smile They also gravitate to water/pipes so check there are no holes or leaks thats how they get in. Hope this helps someone Smile
