OK maybe this is HORRIBLE of me? I'm probably ruining our fixtures and not knowing it. Embarassed

I confess! Recently i've started NOT replacing the bulbs in a light fixure if it burns out. DD's room has 3 bulbs in her fan and 1 burned out and I SWEAR i'd have never know had she not pointed it out. Laughing So I left it. Then another burnt out in our bathroom which has 5 light bulbs in it and I left it too! Embarassed

I will eventually replace them with energy saver's as they DO cut way back on the electric bill. Just for now, I don't notice the difference and so long as we can see good i'm not changing them. Embarassed

Now if one burns out in the kitchen that sucker gets replaced right away! Laughing

The only concerns I have are if you want decent light in a room for things like reading or applying makeup.

LOL!

That's where the kitchen comes in! I like to see what i'm chopping! Laughing I don't do make up much anymore, and with 4/5 lights in the fixture there's still more than enough.

For reading DH has a chair with a floor lamp beside it that gives off good light if we want to read.

i have 5 in the bathroom along the mirror...it is too bright for me so i unscrewed two and still have plenty of light....just depends on the room color (white reflects more) and the room size too
