i was reading on sd that some people were too have theirs delivered today and when they called the florist they were told that 1800flowers canceled the order...
and i found 2 of these each at two stores today...dang it |

I feel the frustration you have cause I was able to find some today as well!
Im reading on a couple of boards that a class action lawsuit might be filed against them for putting the codes out there and then not honoring them some are saying false advertisement. |

A lawsuit? That's ridiculous.
Let's face it, the vast majority of people that redeemed these peelies did NOT purchase the chocolates. I'm pretty certain that the purpose was for people to BUY the chocolates and THEN redeem the code.

Well, all total I've placed 14 orders. Of those, 11 have been delivered. One shows in transit, one I can't confirm delivery as of right now (but think it was delivered), and the other one isn't showing anything. The last one is wine so I'm sure they will stop that really quick.
mom2shawn- I just wanted to say that I ordered DH that basket of snacks, the biggest they had. It was HORRID. I would have LOVED to got what you got. He got all this stuff that was old and stale. The crackers tasted like cardboard, the jelly was runny, the only thing worth a darn was the candy. (a few hershey kisses, a reese's cup, a small snickers..etc) It was bs*(censored). Had I paid money I never would have EVER bought this.
1800.00 later I feel pretty dang happy! Have over 200.00 BCB pending. |

I've read some blogs where people are really angry that others took the peelies. I bought a few boxes and I took some peelies. I saw people buying boxes and not even noticing the coupon. Some people seem to forget that not everyone is a couponer.
I'll bet that most guys who are buying for their girlfriends wouldn't even know what to do with those peelies and probably would throw them away.
All of those boxes of chocolate are going to sell either before or after Valentine's day, peelie or no peelie. I've gone to look for stuff a few days after the holiday and the shelves are empty.
Personally, I think its wrong for the company to refuse to honor these codes. It's their mistake for putting them on the outside of the box.

It was on OK basket, had I had to pay OOP for it I would have complained and wanted my money back. The basket is even a cheaply made basket. The pictures shows a wicker basket and this one is like cardboard. The food I could have bought for $15 at Kroger.
Im thinking about waiting until Friday when I get all my orders *fingers crossed* and then Im going to complain about the basket. It says 100% satisfaction!

I completely agree. They should have KNOWN that peelies can and will be peeled off. It said it on the displays too. The candy did rock (I bought one box). |

I saw on several other sites people called 1800flowers & were told that unshipped orders that were paid for 100% by multiple passes & had Free Shipping were in the process of being cancelled.
They said it could take up to 4 days for you to get the confirmation e-mail.
Their reason is that the passes were being taken off the boxes without the candy being bought, which was their intention.
They said they will allow ONE pass per household, but will not combine it with other offers.
It doesn't say anything about one per person or order, or not combining the coupons, so a lot of people are pretty hot about this (even though they took them w/o buying anything!)
I saw these on the big heart boxes at my CVS, but didn't want to bother with it - Sounded too good to be true! |
