Stupid question....we just have a regular DVD player, will this movie work on it (or do we need to have a Blu-Ray)?

It's a blu-ray/dvd combo, so there will be at least 2 discs in there: a blu-ray and a regular dvd disc. So, you can use the dvd in the dvd player, but the blu ray won't play. If you ever do invest in the blu-ray, you'll have a disc.
