I need some cheap but filling potluck ideas - especially "main" course meals. Next thurs. our cohort is having a party. We all pretty much come straight from work and so we're having trouble thinking of things we could keep warm in a crockpot to bring with us. Any ideas? They can be cold things too.
So far I'm bringing tamales, but can't think of anything else. Help! It's been awhile since I went to a potluck. |

Lasagna is easy in a crockpot
pork roast
sloppy joes
Chicken noodle soup
Chili
Mac n cheese
Baked Beans
Pulled pork
Ham
Velvetta Mexican dip
The ideas can be endless all you have to do is make sure the items dont get dried out and are cooked on low or kept on warm till ready to serve. Most of the ones I listed above we do over the holidays some for thanksgiving and some for christmas. You can always put mashed potatoes or au gratin potatoes in the crock pot as an added side dish. If you need any of the recipes let me know |

| If you look on allrecipes.com, there's a really quick and easy recipe for a Cheesy Broccoli and Rice casserole - it's literally just frozen broccoli, rice, and some cheese, topped with some crumbled crackers. It's delicious! (and cheap!) |
