| yep, I've done it a million times. It's good, kinda cinnamon-y tasting, usually the consistency of banana bread. |

it is great...but after awhile it can tire on you...great for kids though!! actually now that you mention it, this would be great for my dd to do! something she can work on every day...hmmmm now to find a starter
you can do more than just the basic bread. i have done banana, zuccihni (i know i am not spelling that right) or any other bread receipe...or just make up your own and add stuff to it...the bread is really good! or you can make muffins instead of a whole loaf |

| Yum I haven't had this in forever. When I lived in PA my aunt used to get it from teachers at school and then would bring it home and give it to my grandmother. |

the starter is easy to make. Just click on this site and scroll down. This is the same recipe I've used before.

| You can also freeze the batter. Like someone else said, you tend to tire of it because you always have a batch going. So you can freeze the batter until you feel hungry for it again. |

| Stupid question and yes I know it kind of defeats the purpose but if I want to take the recipe and make all the loaves myself to give as a gift. ( I think the bread sounds wonderful but know that not everyone would take the time to do the stuff everyday) how would I do that? I am confused cause the "starter" batches would come out normally and then get that extra stuff from day 5 added to it again but the original batch I would keep wouldn't so could I just make the whole thing as if I was only making my two loaves? |

you've got to make the starter and let it do it's thing during the first 10 days. Then divide it up and instead of passing on the new starters just follow the rest of the recipe and make numerous loaves of bread. By the way, I don't think that recipe mentions it but put it in a big ziploc and just squish it around everyday. Much easier than keeping it in a bowl on the counter. |

if you want too, break it up , stick one in the freezer (someone mentioned this) and then cook the other...when you feel the need to do it again, pull it out and start from where you left off.... |

| I just made some Sunday , I added chopped apples and walnuts to that batch, I have another batch i have to bake on Friday, I think iam going to do a banana walnut. and I have a batch in the freezer, Last year I made so many different kind smy kids came up with some weird combos.. one which was really good was blueberry coconut, another was pineapple/walnut( if you use canned fruit make sure you drain very well and squeeze all the juice out), we also used cranberry, chocolate chips , pecans Zucchini and I know I am forgetting some. My family loves this bread. |
