Anyone have any they like and feel like sharing? What else is there to make other then liver and onions? Am I the only one here that actually likes liver? My husband had never had liver before we were married and he liked the liver and onions I made. I wanted to make liver again, but wanted to try something different this time. I found these... What one would you suggest?
Baked Liver With Apples Recipe
1 pound Beef liver; sliced
2 medium Apples; chopped
1 medium Onion; chopped
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
6 slices Bacon; cut in pieces
1/4 cup Water; or beef bouillon
Place liver in greased shallow casserole. cover with apples, onion, salt, and pepper. Top with bacon pieces and add liquid.
Bake, covered, at 325degrees for 1-1/2 hours, removing cover during last 20 minutes of baking.
Oven Fried Beef Liver
Dip slices in seasoned flour, sprinkle with onion salt and place in a greased baking dish. Dot with butter, top each piece with a slice of bacon and bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40min.
BARBECUE BEEF LIVER
1 lb. beef liver
Salt, pepper
1 c. sliced onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/8 tsp. chili powder
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. water
1. Cut liver into 1/4 inch slices; cut each slice in half crosswise.
2. Arrange half the slices in bottom of covered baking pan.
3. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
4. Saute onions until lightly browned in skillet; place half of them over liver.
5. Combine remaining ingredients.
6. Spoon half of sauce over liver-onion mixture.
7. Arrange another layer of liver and onions; cover pan.
8. Bake 25 minutes in moderate oven at 325 degrees.
9. Uncover; pour remaining sauce over liver.
10. Bake uncovered 10 minutes.
