Grape juice or chicken stock both work. You can also use orange juice instead of milk in muffins...this make a very yummy substitutuon! |

chicken broth for wine, but it won't have the same flavor. Keep a bottle of el-cheapo white wine in the cupboard for cooking. If you're not drinking it, it has a LOOOONG shelf life. You can get a bottle for around 3-4$. |

Never cook with wine you will not drink , in your case that is all wine, because of the alcohol content, so I would go with just plain grape juice, or totally skip it all together.
Depending on the recipe you can always use chicken/beef broth or apple cider.
If you sub something else and it works, can you just update and post what you used please |

Thanks guys, I think I will try the grape juice (the recipe calls for red wine). I wonder about the chicken broth though...I don't think that would work for white wine for desserts...chicken in dessert...ewww...LOL!!
Thanks again guys and I'll let you know how it turns out! |

| I have a pork recipe that suggests substituting apple juice for the brandy, so you might try apple juice or white grape juice for any desserts. |

| ahhhh!! I didn't see it was a dessert. Yes, I would suppose chicken broth would be nasty. LOL If you needed white wine in a dessert recipe, white grape juice would work. |
