I got this recipe from my mother-in-law and it is delicious!

1 c. raisins
2 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Put raisins in a saucepan and add water. Cook until you can drain 1 cup of the "raisin juice". Add soda and set it aside. Drain raisins. Cream shortening, sugars, and eggs. Add flour and the juice (Alternate). Add vanilla and raisins. Put into a cookie sheet and bake 25 min or til done at 350.
Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
milk
Mix together til it is at the desired consistency. Spread and enjoy!
